UNICO!
Out of 133 Chapters throughout the United States, the Verona Chapter was
voted #1 for 1999-2000!

Verona UNICO,
a private non-profit
organization, is comprised of individuals of Italian ancestry committed to
providing a better quality of life for those in need on a community and national
level. Chartered in 1970, Verona UNICO, for the past 30 years has dispersed
more than $500,000 to a variety of causes including but not limited to: The
V Foundation for Cancer Research; Cooleys Anemia; Seton Hall University Chair
of Italian Studies; over 100 college scholarships for those who excel in
academics, sports and community service; and a host of local charities consisting
of Project Graduation, The Rescue Squad, The Volunteer Fire Department, The
Verona Baseball League, The Children's Holiday Fund, and many more. The
chapter is also dedicated to preserving our Italian Heritage through various
cultural programs, specifically, the Italian Book Collection at the Verona
Library. UNICO is the largest Italian-American service organization in
the United States.
